Cue Sheets and MP3 Players

Since the CD-Player industry is coming to end, and MP3/MP4 are ruling the market as we speak, wouldn't it be a great idea if the new players supported CUE Sheets? Especially for the use of mixes and sets? Every time I'm listening to a set and I want to go back to a song or fast forward to another, I have hold down the forward/back button for a long period 'till I'm actually there, and who knows.. I might actually miss the song by mistake. This is becoming really annoying.

MP3/MP4 players (iPod, Zune,...etc.) should really support .cue files.

What do you guys think?

i dont think this will happen to be honest... cue sheets are meant for sets or albums that are downloaded.. if they do endorse cue sheets in mp3 players then they are kind of supporting illegal file sharing (of albums) cause the the majority of mp3 users aren't electronic music fans..

you can do your own cue sheet....very easy way of doing it....i know how to do them...if you buy a mix cd and like it you split it with you own homemade cue sheet....well Crow do cue sheets split the tracks and then put them on your mp3 player in a certain playlist....isnt that a good idea ?
and set the seperation time between tracks to 0...everything works in a way or another

looool!! yeah they do come split...but other radio shows are not...oh well im not into sets that much prefer getting the tracks of the tracklist as singles..

If you are serious about music and you own an ipod, you should really be using the rockbox firmware anyway.

It has all sorts of DJ friendly features like being able to tempo/pitch up and down, cue sheet support, multiformat support (ogg, wavpack, flac, mp3, aac, alac, basically everything except wma), fully skinnable, unicode compliant, real gapless playback, ReplayGain support ... so many features that I don't even use half of them!
