Tiesto is finally back with something new, another installment of ISOS series!! As always, ISOS tend to create a special journey into music describing a special mood irrelevant to any specific style of music, ISOS simply deliver a chilled, beach-like msg through sounds, it's not yet another trance nor house compilation, it's a combination of different sounds for a single purpose. This time Tiesto focused relied more on Progressive sound in delivering his new ISOS message.

Before going all technical about the new album, I'd like to clear few things.. Pls let us not turn this into another Tiesto-bashing topic. For the ones who want to criticize Tiesto's productions, well this release got no presonal productions at all! the only 2 points to discuss concerning Tiesto would be his mixing skills along with his track selection.

Disc 1:
-------
1. Conil - Malibu Beach
The typical tropical beach-like intro setting the mood straight to start the journey..

2. Mark Norman presents Celine - Colour My Eyes
First track by Mark Norman delivering a sweet chilled track very unlike their usual production yet a quality track revealing another potential for this great duo. The track features sweet vocals and some warm sounds very much like G&D style which brings back to memory ISOS3

3. Late Night Alumni - Empty Streets (Seamus Haji and Paul Emmanuel Remix)
This track is big, and it was destined one way or another to end up in a great compilation. Great angelic vocals over proggy bassline kicking off the mood slightly..

4. Electro-Prompt - Beside Me (Gothek D.C. Remix)
Prog sound keeps on rolling with another great track with powerful male vocals, one of the few male vocals tracks that really manage to sound fit-in with a great breakdown that will cause great effect if played in gigs!!

5. Fonzerelli - Moonlight Party
ISOS3 is back with a vengeance, a track that will both gives a feeling of relaxation and a need to dance! a track that screams ISOS from start to finish!!

6. Leama & Moor - Everything Matters (Matthew Dekay Remix)
when 3 great producers gather on a single production, you cant expect but high quality sounds.. Leama's latest single with a proggy dreamy remix by Matthew Dekay, more proggy than the usual Leama & Moor and more melodic than the usual Matthew Dekay.. already a big hit and fits in perfectly in this CD!!

7. Matthew Dekay vs. Proluctors - Let The Game Begin
Probably the best co-production by Matthew Dekay after his almighty "Taurus", a track that goes in the same style of hypnotic proggy sounds that can go on over and over again taking you deeper and deeper into addictive trance.. the breakdown is breathtaking and the comeback is mindblowing!! Let the addiction Begin!!

8. Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms (Club Mix)
We're back with the ISOS3 sound with the amazing Karn Overton dreamy vocals over a proggy chilled bassline till it reaches the breakdown when the track takes a groovier path and go on from there to an amazing end..

9. Parker & Hanson - Let Me Be (Original Extended)
ISOS3 feelings keeps on going with the wonderful "Let Me Be", once more beautiful vocals concure the sound with so much emotions and sweet melodies delivering a blend of progressive beats with lushes melodies!!

10. Kalafut & Fygle - Novocaine (Mark Otten Remix)
through times I learned to grab everything that has "Mark Otten" name in it, and this is no exception!! the amazing prog-melodic sound of the dutch young producer is present in all his production and this is no exception, rendering the latest "Kalafut" production into a warm summer hit!!

11. JES - People Will Go (Steve Forte Rio Remix)
"JES" is back with another hit! probably one of the best productions she sang, the vocals are amazing, the lyrics are amazing, and the production is simply outstanding! just love the sound of the "harmonica" blending with the sweet yet powerful vocals! this is gonna turn a big hit this summer!

12. Basic Perspective - Small Step On The Other Side
Things turn a bit harder and more prog shaking things a little bit as we progress through the journey..

13. Tom Cloud - Told You So
a very dreamy track with beautiful female enchants and sweet synths throwing us back into the sand, water and summer feeling! making sure we stay in the ISOS surroundings..

14. A.M. - Arise (Exclusive Hammer & Funabashi Remix)
so many good names in here, a vocal track that reminds me a little with the vocals used in ATB productions, very dreamy and emotional production with kick ass bassline and beautiful melodies..

15. Cass - Little Bird
No wonder this was kept for last! one of the BEST, STRONGEST, MOST BREATHTAKING vocals one can ever hear in a trance/house track!! the combination of sweet melody with powerful vocals is mindblowing! probably the best production on this ISOS series.. after couple of listens a destined hook is created! the breakdown is simply out of this world! words really fail to describe this track! what a finish!! :notworthy:

Disc 2:
-------
1. Pink Elephant - LAX
Sweet intro for CD2, giving us the time to catch our breath after CD1

2. Alex Stealthy - Something Is Wrong
Dry?! Techy? Dirty? is this really ISOS?! CD2 starts with a bang! a powerful track to kick things off..

3. Shah & Laruso present Global Experience - Zanzibar
"DJ Shah" always manage to deliver quality music, zanzibar is his newest production with amazing soundtaking you into nature with awesome sound of flute played along some chants..

4. Progression - Technophobia
A strong addictive track, the type that goes directly into your brain and corrupts the part responsible for your sanity!

5. A Boy Called Joni - Green Astronauts
This is pure progressive sounds, CD2 is shaping into harder sound taking things more towards ISOS4.. excellent production that has been already getting much support from many DJs..

6. Petter - These Days (Luke Chable's Those Days Remix)
"Luke Chable" delivers one of his best remixes in this track.. very euphoric yet progressive at the same time, best played on a high volume sound system, a very unique dark and spacy production.

7. Estuera - Tales From The South (Jonas Steur's Revision Flow)
"Jonas Steur" is a name to be feared in the current trance scene, everyone seems to be playing one or another production by this rising star!! here he manages to remix a chilled version of his great production TFTS under his "Estuera" disguise.. This track is already HUGE and now we get to enjoy yet another wonderful remix produced exclusively for ISOS!

8. Ozgur Can - Irony
one of the main progressive sounds of our days is the sound of the swedish producer "Ozgur Can", here he manage to deliver another dreamy progressive track that brings back memories of 2004 when this style was the new invading sound!

9. Jonas Steur - Second Turn
Second production for "Jonas Steur" on ISOS! this only means one thing, this producer is on fire!! this track is a new production with his usual fresh and rich sound.. "Jonas" leaves no room for silence his productions are known to be very rich musically and this one is no exception! another summer hit in the making..

10. Smith & Pledger pres. Aspekt - Hi Jack
although this track is more than a year old, it's one of these timeless tracks that can be played whenever wherever.. one of the finest "Smith & Pledger" productions.. dreamy progressive sound with a dangerous hook

that infiltrates deep into subconscious leaving you wanting for more.. still ISOS4 feeling reigning over CD2!!

11. Jaytech - Genesis (Jimbo's Afterburner Mix)
As "Tiesto" stated, this track was handed to him 1 hour before mixing ISOS, but after gaving it a listen he couldnt resist but to include it. Very original sound and vocals, a somehow chilled techy feeling that makes this track playable anytime..

12. Super8 + DJ Tab - Helsinki Scorchin'
This is one of the highlights of Trance music in our current time, it was only logical to have it included in such compilation though it's not the 1st compilation to have this monster on and definitely wont be the last..

13. Way Out West - Don©t Forget Me (Guy Ehmetores Remix)
Who would be better than "Way Out West" to finish off yet another ISOS?! WoW always manage to produce deep emotional tracks and this one is their newest ending this journey so emotionally, so peacefully, so addictively..

This proved to be one of the best ISOS compilations up till now, some may argue whether it's better than ISOS3 or not, but i think most ppl will agree that this can be easily consider better than the other previous compilations I, II, and IV..

so shall we experience the journey once again ;)

a great compilation, but i really think that A state of trance 2006 is a much better and more creative than ISOS 5.

I listened to it a couple of times; liked it, didn't love it. Then again I'm not much into compilations, even if they contain mostly unreleased tracks... I found CD1 to be too vocal and CD2 to be too instrumental, but definitely nothing related to "cheese" or "commercial" or any of those abused terms in what regards Tiesto.
