After the massive success of his debut release earlier this year (Karma | Sid), new kid on the block Pasi Korhonen returns with a follow-up that is destined to be just as successfull as its predecessor. Replica has Aava written all over it with almost the same elements from Sid and in the same proggy style; perhaps this is why Pasi chose to name it Replica, because it resembles Sid in so many ways. Mesh is obviously the sequel to Karma with a faster tempo and a more energetic vibe than Replica... oh and I would like to add one thing about it: two breakdowns, enough said. So both tracks are superb, asserting that Mr. Korhonen is not just a one-hit-wonder but a rising artist and a name to look out for in the future. I'm already eager for the next Aava release! But for now I'll just settle for these two babies, and perhaps resurrect the older pair of gems.

01. Replica 08:32
02. Mesh 08:51

I can't imagine that either, but hopefully your reply will urge them to go hunting for this release. I'm sure glad that "energetic progressive style" is getting more and more common, I just can't can't get enough of it!
