After working on promoting his recent compilation Passport:Kingdom of the Netherlands and party concept Loud Electronic Ferocious(LEF), Ferry Corsten hits us with another brand new single called Fire which features Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran on the vocals.

The release consists of a radio edit, an extended mix and a flashover remix. The flashover remix adds an even better trancy feel to the song and is better than the original mix in my personal opinion.

Make sure you grab this brand new single from the one and only: Ferry Corsten. I Hope it'll be played on Rhythm Nation very soon

I was just discussing this with SamEr yesterday, how Ferry Corsten deserves to the same amount of respect as a producer as Carl Cox deserves as a DJ, regardless of subjective taste, based on his lifetime achievements in literally creating the sound and constantly evolving it.

With all due respect to all the names I will mention and whom I am a loyal fan of, but when Tiesto was spinning Acid House to a crowd of 200 in his hometown pub, and when Armin was still practicing beatmatching, and when PvD was only a local Techno hero, Ferry Corsten was locked up in his basement studio literally creating the sound that was later named "Trance"! Just as PvD is credited to be among the very first handful of DJs to adopt this music, and is consequently respected by even those who are not big fans of his current sound (myself included), so should Ferr be credited to be among the very first handful of producers whose creative avant-gardiste experimentation in electronic music lead to the birth of Trance, and should consequently be respected by even those who are not big fans of his sound. Just my two cents...

Two more additional remixes for this brilliant track, ron van den beuken remix, and a dub mix, released under a different label.

The RVDB is amazing, nice use of the vocals with some techy sounds.
