Somehow a review of this fine release slipped by unnoticed although its lyrics were posted and it was even included among the tunes to vote for as a July favorite. Anyway, one of the Trance scene's greatest producers ever is back with a new vocal trancer with his well-known vocalist by now.
First up is the airplay mix, which may only interest Johnny's radio show.
Next up is an energy club cut, which may only interest Johnny's residency at Square Bar.
The real action however starts at the third track of the maxi: the original club mix has ATB's new sound written all over it, a simple yet pumping beat driven by the warm vocals and an even simpler melody that still has the same effect ATB melodies had on us back in the days.
The following Rank 1 remix places more emphasis on the beat than on the melody or the vocals, but still manages to give out a decent outcome.
Funaki brings the vocals back atop a dark beat, and a breakdown that begins with the best part of the vocals (you touched my soul my very being) going solo until soft pads and the bassline follow, before the melody begins creeping up from the depths, leaving you in wonder towards what will emerge, until the beat finally drops back unleashing a rather techy foundation; clearly a remix intended for serious club damage.
The "grande finale" is, as expected, allocated to one Alex Morph. As TRANCExual always claims, name one remix or production in which Alex disappointed; exactly, you can't! And this is by no means any different: once again M.O.R.P.H. succeeds in transforming a great tune into an even greater one, adding his usual uplifting touch yet maintaining the dreamy aspect of the vocals. Undoubtebly the gem of this entire release!
