The Thrillseekers - New Life

Postby Dreamboy » Thu May 13, 2004 3:30 pm

Steve Helstrip started his own label called Adjusted music and to celebrate this release he came up with a new track from one of his most popular aliases: The Thrillseekers. It's been ages ago since a new solo track from The Thrillseekers reached the record stores, but in the mean time he has remixed tracks from Witness Of Wonders, Usual Aspect and more. Ever since The Thrillseekers smashed the trance back in those '99 glory days with the track Syneasthesia, that created a buzz from Ibiza to Iceland, every new Thrillseekers track is eagerly awaited by trance fans. Now the new track "New Life" will be released mid-June with a remix from UK buddy Lange on the flip. Plays by Ferry, Armin and a bunch of other top jocks have been secured, so it seems like Adjusted kicks off well...

Original Mix
This track found it's premiere during Ferry Corsten's concert back in 2003. Ever since it did not leave Ferry's record bag. The pure melodic Thrillseekers style dominates in this tranceproduction. The soft kicks and a laidback bassline give this track a summerish feel, but don't be fooled. Due to the massive energy that Steve gives to this melody it is definatly a dancefloor killer. The build-up of the track is just nothing less then pure brilliance. A melancholic dreamy melody with some intelligent twists on top of it make this a pure trance record.

Lange Remix
UK trancer Lange (Stuart Langelaan) has been remixing ever since modern trance existed it seems. DJ Sakin's 'Protect Your Mind' was his first major breakthrough and many artists followed to get a "Lange Remix". Also this track was re-created by him. I must say he turned it into a pretty impressive track. Where Lange is mostly famous for his uplifting, almost happy melodies, he shows no mercy with the Original Mix and turns it from a dreamy trancer into a haunting darker mix. It's a more straightforward mix with a higher BPM and is fastpaced aiming on a mad dancefloor 4 AM peaktime moment. Maybe one of Lange's best works to date.
