Hard Trance
German hard trance legends Alphazone's new single was released a couple of weeks ago, with this the remix disc following up. 2 different hard trance takes here, with Ralph Novell and Clowd Chaser remixing the massive original.
Ralph Novell Remix
Ralph's style is a big favourite with Alphazone, as they have collaborated and remixed each other a few times, as well as Alphazone spinning his tunes in their DJ sets. Here he lends his typical German touch to the original, with pounding kicks, throbbing bass and rattling percussion. The break is the main focus here, as a relaxing pad section and soft synth stabs calm the track down before the huge uplifting melody comes in. This is the strongest version of the Original track that this reviewer has heard.
Clowd Chaser Remix
A similar version to Ralph's remix, with an even harder kick and pumping offbeat bassline. The emphasis here is more on the main synth line, with more than a hint to Lee Haslam's style. A few crazy chord changes in the build up and kick fills every 8 bars add to the energy, which is carried through the break by some breakbeats. From here however it's very similar to Ralph's remix, as the main synth again takes on a massive, euphoric vibe.
Conclusion
Both remixes are very similar, which means it is more personal preference over which one you want to play. Both seem to be a tad stronger than the original, although with all remixes being in a very much German hard trance style it would have been nicer for a different interpretation, as with the Phalanx remix of Revelation. Having said that, this is still a massive hard trancer which will see a lot of support within the scene.
