The american cowboys have struck again! Soon to be released on Connected Recordings, Distance under their Taxi alias is a journey into melodic bliss. An atmospheric intro of about a minute or so ignites the engine of this baby, with a solid beat soon starting to build up on different dreamy elements, leaving us anxious for the breakdown. A couple of minutes through and the break is announced with a flute sound, very Eastern in nature, with the melody soon making its way through, somewhat Oriental-sounding as well, and the beat finally making a surprise come-back to set things off for good. Great sounding track, I would like to hear it mixed with Tiesto's Ancient History.
Taxi ~ Distance [Will Holland's Black Cab Remix]
Will Holland has been impressing us with his latest productions, and in this remix he begins impressing us from the early moments, particularly from the short intro in which the magical flute is emphasized. The flute perpetuates throughout the buildup, sided with a couple of beeping sounds and the melody being hinted through. The breakdown is soft, dreamy, and very atmospheric, until the melody is thrown in and mayhem is set loose! Very energetic melody yet maintaining its dreamy edge, rendering this remix a constant pounder! The melody is brought back in again shortly afterwards for double the listening pleasure! Very impressive work from Will Holland, this kid's got a bright future.
