Polarstate - Global Midnight
polarstate is the solo project of the young swedish producer Bjorn Akesson
already had a worldwide success along with dreas with the melodic 'havannah'
this tune is looking to get the great support havannah got and even bigger...
a1 - original
when you think about havannah and start listening to the original version the first thing comes to your mind from the first seconds is that this time bjorn was looking for a tougher tune something that will have much more drive in it
the kick and bass of it from the beggining are reminding the style of george hales fred baker and such a producers
great development to the tune till the main theme this silent part shows us the melody which is absolutely great, and again great work with how elements fades in and so is the breakthrough nothing special maybe but it has the power to lift you up and jump like insane
second time the melody comes the breakthrough uses one of the elements i must say i like alot. cutting and looping the melody first we have left with only 1/8 of the melody (those first notes and than just before the breakthrough we are left with the two first notes till the massive breakdown
this tune is definately gonna be a massive one and leaves me with great taste before i will hear the two other tunes
b1 - Morphogenic Resonance Remix
that seems to be the answer to the once were looking for the same style as the havannah tune
maybe even softer.. the style of the tune reminds me a little bit the steve helstrip style and i must say after listening to the hall tune this impression is even bigger.
the melody in this version is much more exciting and lovely
you just feel like crying when listening to the main part in this version
the breakthrough is kindda regular we get to hear the same melody that was before the main theme and a lovely synth on the background aswell
you might feel that the drive were in the first tune combining with the main part and the lovely background synth could have made the perfect tune
but still both versions are great
b2 - Martin Roth Remix
martin roth is a hard trance producer who has done some remixes last year sounded all like he has taken the melodies from some other tunes and not from the ones he did his remixes for.
this time it seems like he weren't reflected from non other than the tune he was remixing
the hard bassline punches you from the beginning
and martin is adding the elements quite well as the tune develops
the melody from the morphogenic remix enters at 1:27 to prepare us to what's goin to happen afterwards
the main part is kindda silent and than the great melody with a bell synth but kindda massive one enters and we feel like a big breakthrough is on the way
and thats exactly what happens
the melody after the mai part is the same as the original with the same synth but martin gives the melody a bigger explosure than the original and puts it above all elements of the track
to tell you the truth it's kindda going well!
three massive remixes that will mostly find the way to many people hearts are making this vinyl a great investment
out on 4th to april on selective recordings
vinyl rate: 9.5
