Koala - Bubble Gum
koala are two russian producers started working together back on 2003
their style is uplifting trance combining some house elements as we can see on the original version of this tune
a1 - original
a smooth synth in the end of the first minute is taking us into a dive to this track
not long till the melody appears with a kindda 'bell' synth, thin but doing the work
the main theme enters little by little from the total silence the track has been falling into
rises up slowly here's the full melody kindda catchy but not a cheesy one
developing into a soft breakthrough came from the house world but doing the work pretty much well here
probably the one to listen to at home but not with a potential to tear up dancefloors
b1 - bobina megadrive remix
bobina is one hell of a producer who won't need any introduction for the ones listening to some trance last year
from the first second you could see here's something that can be for sure a dancefloor success much more than the original
you can't go wrong with the pumping bassline bobina uses for his remix
the melody uses a different and much wider synth than the synth used for the melody in the original and it comes almost out of nowhere
first breakthrough isn't that impressive, makes you feel he just waited to drop the kick and bassline as soon as possible
but on the second breakthrough starting at 5:13 you can see bobina taken care much more for the crowd who'll now be looking for that breakdown.
good work from bobina making another step of becoming one of the greatest producers in the trance scene for the forthcoming years
b2 - abdul remix
the first question one might ask is who is this abdul guy?
no answer for now but i gotta say he has done nice work here taking the tune a little bit to the progressive side
although the bpm might be higher than the usual proggy stuff.
steady and clean bass combined with the synth from the start of the original tune but just more as a background sample
this version is developing little by little adding some elements t the tune as we go on with it.
main part darker than both other versions the synth from the original is the same but wider
could got playlisted for some proggy djs with a lower pitch
you should remember the name abdul. not a perfect prog. tune
but certainly one that could be used for at the beginning of proggy sets
vinyl rate: 7.5
