B. Kearney & John O Callaghan ~ Exposure

With no original yet release, all we have are the remixes, but don't be too sad, because behind the 3 different remixes are 8 Wonders, Icone, and MK-S! So it can't be that bad after all

Solid buildup up until the third minute where some soft keys are introduced on top of an equally soft breakbeat, to which is soon added a soft pad, until all is withdrawn and the dark melody starts emerging from the depth, with the beat soon joining in, and those soft keys later on follow. Not too energetic, but not too bad either, especially if you're more lenient to the darker side of Trance...

With Icone, you wouldn't expect a dark feel to the track as we had with 8 Wonders; the Belgian kid has gotten us used to uplifting melodies that can set any dancefloor on fire! Melodic buildup all the way to the 2:20 mark, where the melodic keys & pads get "exposed", with a piano soon joining the crescendo, and a beautiful uplifting melody finally making its way to the breakdown, the drumroll topping it off, and things explode at the 3:41 mark, unleashing a massive melodic uplifter! Typical Icone quality, some may say it's just another melodic trancer, but nonetheless it still is good.

My most awaited mix of the vinyl! Throughout the past year, MK-S has delivered one qualiy remix after another, pushing some to even name him "remixer of the year"! Here is his latest take on Exposure, starting off with a promising buildup for about three and a half minutes, until a trancy lead replaces everything, with just a few piano keys, some sharp strings, and quick drop-back of the beat, portraying a melodic beauty like most of the previous MK-S remixes. Good stuff from the young lad, he's got a bright future ahead of him...
A bit of everything for everyone in this release. Not a 2004, bur surely sweet to have in your record-box. Enjoy!
