Vadim Zhukov ~ Nothing Matters

The Russian Trance guru keeps pounding us with release after release! Rough beat from the start, progressively building up into a floor-filler, until after about two and a half minutes some twinkling notes are introduced, followed by some incredibly dreamy sounds and a phat bassline. The beat soon drops back in alongside all the elements, only then for these elements to be withdrawn and some other sounds replacing them - total chaos! This guy truly is a musical genius who keeps impressing, more like shocking us with every track he releases.

What a way to spend a cold Russian weekend than locked in the studio producing a masterpiece. Vadim's tracks are so sublime that perhaps only he can remix them and maintain their quality (with all due respect to Robert Nickson). Powerful buildup leading to a first quiet breakdown, then the melody comes in, and you think it's a White Room remix! A sound very similar to Andy & Adam's on a very emotional melody topped by a thrusting beat to make things even better. Better than Vodka!

Last thing I heard was that they canceled the PPK project to work on something new; they didn't split, they just want to change their sound.

if it wasn't for Oakey nobody would have ever heard about them imo..
have u heard how he gt it?

i was told that story dunno how true it is so here goes:
he was on a gig in russia, and ppl were craving and u know typical club
scene, when some guy from the party ppl handed him the vinyl..
Oakey placed it on the tt and spinned the record blindly or should i say
'deafly'..he didn't even try it 1st in his headphones and it was a hit!
he loved it and then rest came later..

i wouldn't take a vinyl with me if i went clubbing..but hey it's russia! ppl
r born drunk in russia! :p
