Matt Darey is a solid name in the Trance scene, one you can rely on for quality releases. His Lost Tribe alias, which 5 years ago delivered us the masterpiece Gamemaster, is now back with a new tune: Possessed.

Fast beat from the start, promising an uplifting stormer perhaps? A robotic voice speaks something uncomprehendible, and after it comes the alteration of the bassline, very electro! Soon after some more electro elements are added. So far all I could picture is Ferry hammering this monster. Then I am awaken from my vision by a breakbeat - everybody loves a good breakbeat! Well this one is good, dark, and very techy. Soon enough the melody is quickly introduced and the track truly explodes at this point. Very futuristic all together, this track is bound to destroy dancefloors all around the glove. You all know how I dislike Tech Trance, but some tracks sometimes stand out. I would say this is one of those tracks. Definetly worth checking out.

This remix starts off with some arcade shooting sounds! Kinda funny but I'm liking it! After a minute, a hard strong beat is thrown in, and things get started henceforth. Those robotized vocals make a comeback, to our good fortune that is. After a while, some phat sounds are played around, with one massive bassline, and jsut then everything is silence, the melody is teased, then withdrawn for the beat to come back with that twisted bassline. 4 minutes through and the breakdown is reached. The melody is made trancier in this remix, that is fully discovered once the beat is back in, and a very uplifting melody is unleashed! Great remix, I liked it better than the original!



After Nocturnal Delight and this release, Matt has proven himself as a certified Tech producer. Tip from a trancer who's not that much into Tech Trance: get your hands on this gem!
