Fractal Structure ~ Lost Sequence [Original Mix]
Strong beat, solid bassline, electro sounds... What better way to kick off an uplifting gem! Things stay like that up until the breakdown, where a very emotional and at the same time uplifting melody is introduced, quickly followed by the insertion of the beat. Not a dancefloor killer, but will sure make part of the crowd lose control. Give this baby a few listens and you'll get hooked.

This one starts off harder. The buildup is interesting enough, but the real magic is in the breakdown. What Anima did her is reduce the uplifting aspect of the tune to focus more on the beauty of the melody, but at the same time making the beat more energetic to maintain the power level of the original. Brilliant strategy. But the brilliantness of the track doesn't end here! The second breakdown is even better! This is where a sort of piano is introduced, followed by an alteration of the original melody, and kaboom! The track explodes into oblivion! Definetly my favorite mix of the vinyl!
Fractal Structure ~ Lost Sequence [8 Wonders Remix]
Fractal Structure & Anima may be new names to the scene, but 8 Wonders sure isn't! Their take on Lost Sequence starts off rather aggressive, with one tough beat and a bassline that matches it. At the 1:30 mark, a dark voice is introduced to make things even creepier, to which is added some deep keys that only add to the vibe. So far it feels like a horror movie. Two and a half minutes of Hitchcockian suspense and the breakdown arrives, carrying with it (expectedly) a dark interpretation of the original melody. No significant drumroll, just a quick dropping of the beat and the track kicks off. However, the best part is actually the second instance where the melody is played; there it is given more emotion and equally more energy! All I can say about this remix is that it's evil enough to spread darkness in any club, yet it contains enough compressed energy to set that club back on fire.

Haak is no stranger to us either. The early beat has Progressive written all over it, something you'd quite expect from Haak. At 1:30, a bassline is introduced that really impresses; it has some sort of vibrating effect that gets to your nerves yet get you hooked and asking for more! The beat kicks back up from here, with so many elements being added up you feel you're at a construction site! Just slightly before the fourth minute, the beat is all messed around with that at first, you think there's something wrong with your CD-played; but it turns out to be just Haak having a good laugh on our expense

Very decent release in my opinion, one that is worth checking out. At first listen, both mixes may sound alike, but dig deep in the structure and essence of each and you'll find vast differences. That Anima remix is really something! As for the 8 Wonders & Haak remixes, well you just have to hear them to know what I'm talking about.
