The 3rd release of Lange’s album “Better Late Then Never”, after “Songless” and "Angel Falls/Red October", “Out Of The Sky” is a beautiful combination of Lange’s uplifting music and Sarah Howells’ mesmerizing vocals, featuring remixes by some of the best producers in the business.
1-Original Mix: My personal favorite! A real uplifter! Lovely combination of Lange’s beats, guitars, violins and synths and Sarah Howell’s thrilling vocals, with her background vocals and echoes smoothly blending in with the music. The perfect song to start your day with. 9/10.
2-Glenn Morrison Remix: A housy, melodic remix of the original, Morrison slowed down the beats and the vocals, with the bassline giving it a dark feel, until the breakdown, where he plays the original melody slowed down too. Not really my favorite style and probably my least favorite of the tracks here. 5/10.
3-Aly & Fila Remix: You can quickly tell if a track has been made by the Egyptian duo, and this one is no different. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the breakdown, where A&F tried out a new style, that worked beautifully. I always said that I liked their style, but wished for a change from their strings, which are the trademark Aly & Fila sounds. Not that the tracks doesn’t include any. Lovely strings, thumping beats and a bassline to make your head bobble back and forth. 8/10.
4-Myon & Shane 54 Remix: The first thing to notice on this one is the groovy bassline, with chopped up samples of the violins from the original track spread around it. The breakdown is beautifully crafted, with the slower violins and the melody echoing in, and then the vocals emerge, with a sort of break beat following for a short period. Unfortunately, the track doesn’t really build on that, and goes back to a slightly techy sound. 6.5/10.
5-Kyau & Albert Remix: You can tell it’s a K&A track from the very first beats, and as usual, the German producers did not disappoint! If I have to be critical, I’d say that the track resembles their remix of Cressida’s 6 A.M. too much. But who cares when it’s a beautiful track? The flanged guitar samples introduce the breakdowns, finally coming to a climax that will rip clubs apart! 8.5/10
