Robert Gitelman ~ Children Of The Sun [Original Mix]
You may know him as G&M Project, or you may know him in person like our friend DJ Amo does :P Regardless of what you know, Robert Gitelman is one of those names that once you see you just got to have! His latest release (which Amo teased us with for so long now :P) has Children Of The Sun on the A-side. For the first couple of minutes all you hear is a bass-less beat; pretty decent to start your set with. Shortly afterwards, and uplifting lead forces its way through, leaning its back on a solid bassline, and prepping us for the breakdown. Bass; that is what you hear early on in the breakdown, but that is only until the melody appears. Just one listen on that melody and you could tell that Robert is Israeli - although the track is not Psychedelic by nature, but the tune has psytrance written all over it! Very creative from Robert's side, mixing a Psychedelic Trance melody with an Uplifting Trance beat & structure. Don't let this baby fly through without passing through your eardrum first!

Robert Gitelman ~ As You Wish [Original Mix]
On the flipside is As You Wish. Personally, my "wish" would be for this track to be in the same style as the first :P A hard'n'rough beat jumpstarts this choon, then a mighty kick drops in causing some serious speaker damage! After a couple of minutes, a tragic melody starts surfacing, and things only get better from here on. In the breakdown you could clearly hear some percussion; is that a Palestinian percussionist we're hearing? :P The melody is, once again, very Oriental in nature. The beat arrives rather early - not that we mind - and the tune explodes into oblivion! Very hypnotic, and I say this once more: very creative from Mr. Gitelman who is truly presenting something new to the scene, with a little percussive extra too! I would sure like to see our local producers delivering such quality material... ah well, a man can dream :P
