When Sander van Doorn started out in his self-built studio just four years ago, nobody would have guessed that he would become one of the world’s most prolific and in-demand producer / DJs of this decade. Constantly pushing dance music’s boundaries with his flawless productions and gaining huge props from dancefloors across the globe, the lad from Eindhoven is back with his much awaited debut artist album Supernaturalistic.
After the massive singles Grasshopper, By Any Demand and Riff which all appear on this album, Sander returns to drop 12 tracks of high calibre electronic music seamlessly weaving between calm & atmospheric, transcendently trippy & trancey through to peak-time techno that will light up any dance floor.
Highlights include Look Inside Your Head, a perfect opener to the album; a distinctively moody and dramatic track that prepares the ground for what’s in store. Sushi and Apple are stripped back yet driving, an indicator to the hybrid minimal-trance sound that is evolving and which wouldn’t be out of place in a James Holden dj set.
