BOY 'O BOY!!
After a long long wait, Orjan Nilsen's most twistest sickest production is finally here!
Black Mamba is a powerful dark uplifter (as weird as it sounds) that starts from the beginning with some long dark pads under a pumping bassline giving a combination of uplifting and dark sound in the same time. As the track advances, the dark pads gets higher and higher while the track continues in it's uplifting path until halfway through at the breakdown when out of the blue a haunting beautiful melody gets introduced for another minute before the original bassline kicks back in for one of the most original, energetic productions out there! simply a clear explanation of why this guy has been a current favourite for me among recent producers.
Maarten Hercules gets on the remix job turning the sound more into the melodic/uplifting side with the introduction of additional pads and extra effects while concentrating on the main melody of the original mix and working his way all over delivering an exciting remix to say the least.
Down & Dirty is the follow up production of Black Mamba and a sort of continuation to his dark/uplifting combination while using distinctive subtle pads over a hard and energetic bassline delivering a dancefloor-approved production.

Tracklist:
----------
01. Orjan Nilsen - Black Mamba (Original Mix) -- 09:12
02. Orjan Nilsen - Black Mamba (Maarten Hercules Remix) -- 07:27
03. Orjan Nilsen - Down & Dirty (Original Mix) -- 07:48

Orjan is one of the few producers today that can still deliver quality, original Uplifting Trance! I consider him as one of the producers saving the sub-genre from the overabundance of copycats.

did not like this release a lot.. I Felt Black Mamba was a bit more of a noisy track than a musical track! it's very energetic, but many ideas r put together i one track, which makes it a bit overloaded...i guess...

^Making it musically challenging rather?...
Too many levels to listen to in the Original, and the sounds are very new and original.
Sick production indeed!

The title reminded me of Dj Salez's Black Mamba remix back when it got released sometime in 2002. ( Also of Kill Bill ? ...)
This is a beautiful release indeed including the remix with Down & Dirty, special unique sounds that would make a huge mess on any dancefloor. Rare to find nowadays on the scene, thus I also add my voice to Dio's!
