Astrix - Future Music

A time came when I thought Avi Shmailov's sound has gotten stuck in a rud.
Astrix' sound became a little bit too repetative and uninnovative. His sound
became known by many psy veterans as 'Israeli Full-on'. Whereas he didn't
fill that spot on his own and shared it with many other producers of his clan
and that same region of the world, it wasn't particularly good for the
end-result listener. Again, if you were a veteran.
I can honestly say, that since Artcore (and appart from 3rd Time Luck)
Astrix has done nothing decent in at least the last 2 years. But again, that's
only my opinion. If you think differently, then let it be.
Astrix is preparing for his double-disk album due for release sometime this
summer. From what I got on this release, he's sending a message:
I am back... and back in top form.
The first side of the vinyl offers two different sounds of Astrix. Future Music
is a full-on savaging tune that, although doesn't shows astonishing
innovation and what I believe that he can produce better, is a real floor
shaker! Followed up by the progressive Just in Time, Side A is a
real exquisite chunk of quality of music. Them two tunes are just right to
get you on your toes for the album's release. I'm particularly happy that
Astrix is picking up his sound rather than further bending it and that fame
hasn't gotten into his sound. Good stuff from Astrix!
Side B offers two remixes of two already released tunes from Astrix.
The first would be a Wrecked Machines remix of Poison from Artcore of
which I found averagely good. The second is an explosive remix of
Techno Windows by the Growling Mad Scientists (more commonly
known as GMS) - WOW. That is one beauty of a remix! BEAUTY!
Hard, hard, hard... That is a tune with an attitude! Absolutely exquisite!!!
The release is very good and made me really look forward to getting the
album when it gets out. Astrix had put together an excellent teaser of
which is remarkably good. This is a quality release that you will totally
enjoy!
