Xerox and Illumination are releasing their 3rd collaborative album - and this
one proves to be no less in significance than the first two.
Moshe & Amir have proven so many times, over and over again, that they
are good on CD just as they are playing live. When seeing them play last
year I was blown away by the synergy as well as energy, the metallic
influences as well as the psychedelic twists, and the monstrousity of their
sound, expertise, and their massive back catalogue in their discography.
After
Temporary Insane and
XI comes
The Best Within...
and a beast this album is.
A laid experimental start off for the album opens up to a pack of hammering
beauties to shake the floors supersonically off. A smashing heads-down album
to be bought and played out.
Highlights of the album are
The Best Within,
Creature of The Night,
Bass Safari,
Turbulence, as well as the distinctively dark
Virtual Violence!
The Beast Within and Creature of The Night knocked me over - those two
were the KO.
