Introducing Forerunners, a.k.a. Simon Duncan and Brendan Labonte from the USA, so brand new they don't even appear on Discogs! Simon is a bit of an unknown, but Brendan Labonte released 'Blueshift' / 'Finding Away' last year on Conspiracy Records, both classy euphoric trancers.
The Original mix received the accolade of Future Favourite on AvB's ASOT and it is well deserved... Pretty and laidback, this is proper euphoric Trance. Long, sweeping synths swell excitingly to the forefront and back again, and there's a lovely wide-eyed feel to this. It's nothing particularly ground breaking, but just a well crafted solid example of the genre. I wouldn't have thought it'll set a peaktime dancefloor on fire, although to be fair it does get a bit more bold and muscular in the second half.
The Leo G is billed as Progressive Trance, but is more ambient if truth be told, so it's more fit for earlier on a set.
Forerunners's Ambient remix is proper ambient in a sort of stately, Moby - 'God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters' way, which I love... nothing really relaxes you more than Ambient Trance, especially when driving back home from a gig.
It's all about the original though![/align]
