Altought 2006 is over, but this fine ASOT tune of the week release at around the final days of 2006 is one example of how marvelous year of trance it has been, specially for progressive trance.
The Original Mix is a soft melodic progressive tune. Kicks of with progressive beats and drives slowly with a groovy bassline, adding introductory background synths over one another untill the long breathtaking breakdown arrives after around 4mins, and the first main melody is introduced, with a lovely sounding guitarish synth. The tune drives again and takes a nice twist introducing the second mini-main melody, my favourite minute of this track, after the 7:15 mark: Simple but beautiful.
Bart Claessen Remix is another beautiful progressive interpretation of the original, with a more developed harder bassline, some additional smooth pads, and a bit more lively construction, but without losing the general atmosphere of the original.
A must have for progressive heads, and surely dreamy-melodic heads will love this too.
