Carlo Resoort & Jan De Vos join once more under their alias 4 Strings delivering their newest album, a mix of some old unreleased productions along with some new materials..
The tracks are mostly radio edits, something that got us accustomed from 4 Strings as they tend to give sneak peaks in their albums whereas they leave the full productions for their single releases.
The album contains a good deal of vocal tracks with some new collaborations with the sweet Tina Cousins who can never disappoint with her beautiful voice although in my opinion the vocal tracks are the weakest in this album that shows great quality in the intrumental tracks that are numerous on this album..
Some of the great productions that cought my attention on this album are the liked of Mainline that got the name of the CD taken from and that is one of the best melodic trancers of 2006 both combining a great catchy melody along with high energy production that's guaranteed to do great wherever and whenever played..
Also Hurricane is a neat production that's not to be missed as it revives the old 4 Strings sound but 2006 style!
RVDB's remix of the classic Take Me Away gives this outstanding trancer a new techy feel that has been causing chaos on the dancefloors all over the world for sometime around...
Silmarilla seems to be witnessing lots of attention this year.. after the great remake done by Leon Bolier we find another interpretation from our boys on this album by giving it a more energetic uplifting feel from the original but still not as raw and techy as Bolier's version.. it's a great addition to the album and fits perfectly with flow of the tracks, i just cant wait till i see this released as a single track and get to check what additional changes and alterations the lads did to this classic!!
Madness takes this album to a whole new level, dirty hard sounds along a powerful dark bassline get us to meet the darker side of 4 Strings something more similar to Resoort's personal productions..
The final 2 tracks takes us back into the melodical vocal style as Waiting and Reach Out ends the album pretty much similar to the way Desire and Sunrise opened it up!
All in all a decent album from the guys behind one of the most successful groups on the trance scene with a few productions that signal the potential of great future releases..
