This is why Airwave is one of my top producers/DJs.
Mesmorizing track!
Laurent Véronnez returns with a stunning new release on the Bonzai Trance Progressive label. He picked up his project name Lolo once again to deliver two magnificent tracks. Previous tunes like Why, Melody and Who Are You were intense and dreamy trancers. The legacy of Lolo continues with this new release which is due out in November. This tune was immensely sought after since it was played by Airwave on his gig in Budapest. The waiting is almost over...
Take My Hand
We are taken by Laurent's hand through an epic trancejourney in good old Lolo style. Originally this was a 14-minute track, but it's cut down till a reasonable 9,5 minutes. The tune doesn't take long to get properly started, as the dreamy synths make an early entry in the tune. The breakdown features a full exposure of the vocals (for sing-a-long moments), being followed by a sharp electric hookline that fits nicely in the surrounding dreamy. Alltogether a nice combo of Airwave vs Gabriel & Dresden influences, it surely rocks!
Teddybear's Escape
While the biggest hype surrounded the Take My Hand tune, this is my stunning "official trancediscovery track of the month". Teddybear's Escape is an extraordinary pure trancer in an oldschool fashion. The melody in the track is so catchy and beautiful! the breakdown is sends shivers down your spine and when the bassline returns you are blown into total euphoriah for a couple of minutes.
Conclusion
Teddybear's Escape is one of the most heartwarming tracks in the history of trancemusic. What an incredible track by L-Vee. Take My Hand is pretty good as well (although I think some people might not like the vocals THAT much). And best of all, L-Vee has stopped using the flanger effect! Alltogether this release is in my top 3 this year, this is QUALITY!
