Silencer ~ Drown In Me
After producing Taking Hold and Believing , Silencer comes back with a new release “Drown In Me” ; Silencer whom through Taking Hold and Believing showed us a progressive style with a bit of an Electro and Breakbeat touch . “Drown In Me” is having two new remixes : Hemstock & Jennings Remix and Flash Brothers Remix.
Always keeping the progressive sound in each release , Silencer appeared to be more on the uplifting side through Hemstock & Jennings Remix , yes the perfect duo Les Hemstock and Chris Jennings makes a new appearance by adding a new remix to the track , however never close to their last productions Babylon.(personal opinion)
The remix starts with a straight push through swift beats , yet turning out to be slower while reaching the vocals part , where you can hear a female voice taking place before the bassline ; quite energizing yeah by adding more cutting beats and same female vocals –even on a higher tone- on the second half of Hemstock & Jennings Remix.
A good remix from this duo , however not perfect eventhough They added more uplifting elements.
Things get lower with Flash Brothers Remix , the style gets more proggy and beats tend to slow down , always warming up for a simple start to the repetitive female vocals (and that does not mean they are not good by saying “repetitive”) , yet not excellent at all.
Not that energizing track , Hemstock & Jennings’s remix sounds more appealing especially to uplifting heads , hence Flash brothers’s seems closer to a proggy house-ish style.
Flash Brother’s Remix could be characterized by it’s progressive beats , therefore reaching a part where everything seem to be softer and smoother .Note:This remix was also featured on GDJB .
A simple release for me , appealed once then forgot about it , however I found that both remixes aren’t bad at all , so why not reviewing them since theyve got my attention for a while .. ?
