A New hard style release under the Reset Records filled with some Hard beats , representing three beautiful remixes and furnishing us the right Techy style (in addition to the original) : The Mac Zimms Remix , Scott Mac Remix , and The Mac Zimms Dub !

Mac Zimms Remix:

A nice hard and tribal style was added to the Mac Zimms Remix driving the track into the usual tech world . This remix is the most aggressive one between the other two : the breakdown includes some female vocals which turn the track into another lower world , but as soon as the vocals end , every thing turned out to be wilder with some deep tribal beats and higher elements.

Scott Mac Remix:

The Scott Mac Remix is way more different than the Mac Zimms Remix:
a pretty nice bassline gave a very unique sound to this track , in addition to the clear female vocals . You can also notice the same vocals during the breakdown , different and heavier beats which leads the track into a higher level : this one is a nice remix!

Mac Zimms Dub:

The Dub virgin is similar to the other two remixes , close to the Zimms Remix:
deep beats , higher and darker sound , great synths during the usual breakdown with a very complicated structure!
Even though the Mac Zimms Dub was deprived from the female vocals , you can also notice how perfectly was this remix done !

All in all it was a good release . I liked the three Remixes , Mac Zimms Remixe wasn’t bad at all , also the Scott Mac Remix was nice , but the mac Zimms Dub got my whole attention !

Mac & Mac ... techy for shizzle. I've seen this around audiojelly, wasn't sure if i should get it or not. Their remix for Simon Patterson - F16 didn't beat the original, so i wasn't pleased with their work for once. Great review ... enjoyed reading every line of that ... I'll listen to the samples later on and see if i should get it or not

Oh and its "Mix" not "Remix" ... since its 'their' production .

oh btw proof, the release is labeled as "Remix" eventhough it's indeed their production.. confused? read my latest post in the topic regarding the diff between a mix and a remix

oh btw, just for the records, the lyrics are taken from an old house track (back in '99 or '2000) but i cant remember the name just now..

... so i'm assuming the Original Mix would be the Mac Zimms Remix?

*Edit: I just checked the samples ... and they do sound the same ... the Original and the Mac Zimms Dub (without vocals) ... whats the correct labelling? Is it the Mac Zimms Mix or Original Mix?


SamEr, well ... I still like to consider it as "Mix" if its by the same producer. Even if, nowadays, its labeled as "Remix" ... i'll rename the file accordingly. It just makes things more complicated if they keep doing that though ... I mean, its much simpler to keep it as [b]DIO said. But this isn't the right topic to discuss it ... just pointing out my p.o.v. as an example of this release .

Exactly what SamEr said! i'm not sure if they had already an original mix and then after remixed it...

All i know that i enjoyed listening to this release!
