Peekaboo!
After the great success of their previous productions (Skyline & Tears ), they bring another Kuffdam & Plant banger! They just keep getting better and better don't they ? I got a hold of the CD which contains a Sassot Remix as well. Does this get any better? Just listen then...
Tracklist:
A: Original Mix
B: Sassot Remix
Original Mix: No deep proggy stuff....No progressive....Just uplifting! I would love to define a new sub-genre ... something that collaborates Euphoric into Uplifting into Hard ... so i'll call it "Eupholiftard" . We would start off with the traditional K&P percs (Middle Eastern) and a very nice bassline...more aggressive this time than their usual basslines with more synth added to it. The 2 minute mark is the beginning of the wonderful journey they'll be taking us on the next few mins. Great melody starting off, filling it with distortion each step ... stopped by a breakdown with just that going on, lowering it ... just to tease us,....then all u'll feel is "BOOM!", that reminded me of "Traffic" for some reason ... but no, this one's worth the mono-tone synth. Before you know it....that melody's back sending us back to the euphoric stage. I think Kuffdam & Plant heard my appeal for that breakdown I love in "Tears (KP DP Mix)" , cuz they fill it in here, not exactly the same but nevertheless perfectly! Distortion kicks in again, and there we go ahead..."BOOM!". Definately a great dancefloor tune, especially at peak-time!
Sassot Remix: Ok .. remember what Sassot did to "G.D. - Pukaar"? ... Thats right ... more uplifting!! A little more definition in melody than the original. The breakdown's awesome! More of the "Raise Your Hand Till They Hurt" kinda breakdown. Keep your hands up because you'll be pumping it once everything kicks in . Unlike the Original, I would play this as a set-builder, although its really close to peak-time.
Enjoy another fabulous release!
