tune of this album by Ticon: In The Dirt Psychedelic yet proggy, fast yet
smooth, edgy yet mystic... absolutely flawless work! This tune on its own
is the best reason to buy the album, just forget the rest of the album, this
tune only should be one of the very finest and best I got this year.
Remarkable... superb basslines and strings!
Ticon is Frederic Gilenhold and Flip Mardberg from Sweden. Project Ticon
was started in 1999 as a natural progression towards something new and
they soon got the attention deserved in the early 2000's. Their unique
style walks the thin line between trance and psytrance with crossover
excursions on both sides. This gives the album a variation from the
floorfilling to the hipswinging funky sound that might not appeal to
everybody but still delivering an absolutely exquisite sound! The only
tunes that sounded a bit off was In Stereo and Rip it Up
wasn't of the same level as the rest while Chicken Shaker is a bit
funky.
