1 1/2 Years After The Last Blank & Jones Album MONUMENT Piet Blank, Jaspa Jones And Andy Kaufhold Are Back With A New Album.
In 2003 Blank & Jones suprised the trance scene with a new album concept. Till that time Blank & Jones were only famouse for their powerful trance tracks like Cream, The Nightfly, Desire, Beyond Time ... This changed with the release of their first RELAX album. Not trance was here the main part, no Blank & Jones produced a wonderful ambient and chill out album, not for the dancefloor, for the time after, to relax, to calm down, for sunny vacations, rainy days or romantic hours. The album got fast many fans and went straight into the top 20 german album sales charts. The idea behind the music was easy. Piet, Jaspa and Andy are self big chill out and ambient fans as opposite to the loud dance music they hear every week in the clubs and they produce.
After the great reactions of their chill out promo CD they made for fun, Blank & Jones decided to make a complete album with this kind of music. What follows was a great success they never were thinking of and regular guest appearances on the biggest chill out and ambient compilations like Cafe Del Mar, ...
Now Blank & Jones are back with a new Relax album called RELAX EDITION 2. This time it got even a double CD album, splited in 2 parts. The first CD is called SUN and contains the known music style from the first RELAX album. CD 2 is called MOON and comes with groovy and sexy beach house / ambient house tracks.
Like on the first Relax album where Blank & Jones worked with artists like Pet Shop Boys, Sarah McLachlan, Claudia Bruecken, ... now for RELAX EDITION 2 Blank & Jones had again the chance to work with some great guest like Delerium & Rani, Elles De Graaf, Bobo, Mike Francis and Steve Kilbey (leadsinger from the australian rockgroup THE CHURCH).
The album will be released on friday 23rd September with SONY / BMG in a lot of differend countries world wide.
