Push ~ album sampler

Postby DIONYSOS » Wed May 05, 2004 10:43 pm

As probably every trancer knows now is that the Push album called Electric Eclipse is released now. The first copies are floating around worldwide and of course as an extra promotion, an album sampler is released. Push is the producer from Belgium, better known as M.I.K.E., and since his legendary Universal Nation back in the nineties, he celebrated a lot of highlights. The second Push album holds also the tracks on this vinyl, only these are full version. Expect a release soon.

Blue Midnight
This is one of the new tracks presented on the album and it's Push as we know him best. A distinctive clap and dark sounds introduce the song that gently flows forward until a nice synthesizer melody appears throughout the dark making this a deep and melodic journey. The breakdown is long and with spacey sounds flowing back and forth and filtered female vocal samples are neatly placed in the breakdown. The whole procedure of build-up and melody repeats itself and altogether we can conclude this is a nice deep dark trancer that gets better after every listen!

Imagine
This is an ambient/breakbeat track with very atmospheric sounds. It's easygoing, but the atmosphere still has that dark Push sound. Now and then appears a vocal cut that reminds of Strange World. A nice downtempo track that's more a showcase track of Mike's capabilities than a good clubtrack for clubs.

Tranceformation
Ultra Trance bomb that was already released an estimated year ago. Back then it was an A-side with Universal Nation 2003 on the flip. This track was made with the Japanese Tetsuya Komuro - one of the members of Globe. It's a flowing uplifting trancer with an amazing hookline and should be in the possesion of every Push fan already.

Already have them on mp3 and ordered it on vinyl as well... Imagine is a bit disappointing though. Blue Midnight is a top production! Tranceformation was already known but apparantly this is a remastered version...
