R.V.D.B - Overload
Label: Liquid Recordings
Cat #: LQ047
Release date: 29-11-04

Raw, dark, driving tech trance from Mr. van den Beuken!

A new project and a new tune by Mr Ron van den Beuken. ‘Overload’ is raw, driving, dark and a more underground orientated tech-trance production then we are used to hear from Ron.. Massive floor reactions if we have to believe superstar dj’s like Marco V, Judge Jules, Blank & Jones, Johan Gielen, Darren Tate, Jon O’Bir etc.

Please check these reviews which will be published in world’s most respected dance magazines: DJ Mag/IDJ:

R.V.D.B. ‘Overload’ (SPINNIN NL)
Ron van den Beuken gives us his new tune, chasing very close on the heels of his ‘Endless’ track (which it seems we only reviewed a couple of issues back!) The main mix of ‘Overload’ is a real step up from ‘Endless’. That track had a lot going for it but possibly laboured his sound somewhat. Here he pulls in a new lead effect to apply the pressure. It’s still got his vibe but he’s done more that hit ‘refresh’ here! The lacerating lead noise tear’s through the pounding production with complete ease. There is a lot going on but at no point do things get even vaguely muddy or too ‘busy’ The dub mix of ‘Overload’ loses the big belching synth riff and replaces it with a deeper, techy, more taught production. The harsh looped riffs are no less effective though and the flip once again falls soundly into Sander van Doorn territory. All in all a superior track.
4/5
