Akkhhhh .... IBIZA ! Seriously , it is THE Magic Island ! Although i couldnt make an appearence there this year , but that didnt stop me from following closely all the news that happened the past summer . Yes , it wasnt a very full season like previous summers due to the economic crisis . However , many people went and had a great time non the less ! Alot of changes happened on the island this year , Roger Sanchez moved from Pacha to Amnesia , Pete Tong moved from Pacha to Eden , Tiesto decided to do an 8 hour solo set every Monday night , instead of inviting guest Dj's like last year , Armin's Armada night was a huge success this year , Swedish House Mafia still draw the biggest crowd at Pacha , We Love Space Sunday's , is still the biggest and most successful night on the island, Playa D'en Bossa was revived this year more than ever etc ....
One of my favorite people in edm today , Roger Shah , shocked me last year with the release of the first installment of the Magic Island compilation , and just when the summer was about to come to an end , he releases the second one , to prolong the summer for another couple of months easily !!
As the first release , the cd starts off with a great brilliant , bealeric intro produced by the man himself , setting the theme for the whole cd experience , especially cd ond , which tends to be more down tempo and progressive ! Mr. Shah has included many productions that he produced and co produced throughout 2009 , and many new faces and names which we havent heard of before ! Lovely flow , great melodies and beats , more vocals than the first installment of this destined to be , one of the most anticipated compilations of every year !
Setting the mood for cd two again , where he picks it up with another brilliant intro , slowly moving towards the higher bpm , more energetic side to his sound ! Not for a second , forgetting his mission , in keeping the listener on a beach somewhere , cd two is not less bealeric or melodic than cd one ! Au contraire , it is very , very good , and i believe that Roger Shah suceeded in presenting a better cd two this time , than his previous first installment !!
As i review this release , on a cold rainy day in Amman , i have to tell you , Mr. Shah succeeds once again , in making me day dream , in taking me far away , to a place , where summer never ends !!
Then again , as Roger Shah always says , " No matter where you go, somewhere across the globe it's summer. "

All the tracks are superb , i really cannot say there is one track on there , that is not good . However , Dejan S - Pieces of Sincerity , Roger Shah & Signum - Healesville Sanctuary ( which is a contender for track of the year imo ) Walsh & McAuley feat. Antonia Locas - Sea Of Lights , Udgata Anagh - Edea , are all top notch productions !!
