Nu-Depth Recordings has been around for almost 2 years now and now they will deliver even more tunes with their new sub-label which goes by the name Nu-Depth Digital, strictly dedicated to serve digital only releases. The first release on the new label is by the Gallery DJ resident Dave Horne and another producer Econu. Label boss Danny Powers did a remix of the tune to wrap things up.

Review
Danny Powers starts out with hi hats and some nice and warm melodies. A nice and comfortable way to launch the track instead of just knocking in the door with a kick. To get things going he adds the kick+clap after thirty seconds. He adds a different and more powerful hi hat and takes the track further with a melodic sweep which triggers a pumping bass. The melodies keeps on building gradually. The break has some light synths but backed up by a powerful pad lead melody. The climax consists of a joint venture between all sound elements and it does work quite well. My favourite thing is without a doubt the lovely melody from the light arp which keeps on going in the background.

Let's head on to the Original Mix. This mix also has a bit of the same intro aproach, completely kick drum free. It doesn't feel quite as uplifting as the remix and not determined by the bpm but because of the melodies. The melody layers does not feel as complicated as in the remix but somewhat more laid back. The tune has got a really nice break with a few piano lines and a downbeat/breakbeat feel to it. And just to pinpoint something excellent in the tune it has to be the backing vocal pads.

Verdict
Not a bad start for Nu-Depth Digital. The overall quality cannot match the tunes on the main label but the Danny Powers remix is worth a good listen. It will fit in nicely in any upbeat trance set and sounds well suited for the big club rooms. I like the original mix as well but it is just too many steps away from exciting. It does sound well thought through if you consider the different elements they used and the structure in the track but it needs that extra spice if you ask me.
