I think we have to create a new topic about this issue

ONLY because there are 2-3 Arabic words in it, the track is now a "HIT" on MIX FM!!
Just Remove this 2 words. and try to play it in a set. the track would have no meaning and kill the crowd. The melody isnt bad but sounds out-dated to me comparing other new releases.

Lebanese producer can do this, and yes, with some quality/surprising results. but I guarantee you , because he is a Lebanese, the Leb radios specially > MIX FM will even don't LISTEN to the demo. & this is by an experience (At least a call, a thank you, an email, a congrats msg?) and please dont tell me that, if what I gave them was QUALITY or GOOD they would play it because I have the reply for that, other than charts, emails, facebook, myspace messages:

Unfortunately, its the truth. and Raneem has a point.
A foreign producer is always respected. Im very glad I could release my album in the US, and made FANs around the world, and be more respected and Released my album @ Virgin being no.1 for 2 weeks.


What if the album was a local release only? I would possibly stop producing !

Simply, there is NO future for a Lebanese producer or DJ in Lebanon unless going to Europe or US, which I am thinking too. and Raneem, you are now in Canada dont worry buddy. worry about us

^ Of course Danjo did not rip off Fairuz's vocals, cuz first, there is no way to get this pure high quality of vocals from simply extracting the original vocals from an old track with bad quality. Second, he knows he can't do that for copyright issues i guess (I Don't know if he has the right to record vocals again without asking the original artist). And I don't think Fairuz gave Danjo the rights to record the vocals again..Actually, I don;t thin Fairuz knows that this track of Danjo exists...

As to the vocalist, I'm not sure about her, but I once had a discussion about this issue with a friend who is very knowledgeable about vocalists, and he thinks it's ISHTAR.
After listening again and again to all three versions of the track, The female voice sounds very close to Ishtar's voice.

Ishtar is a pop singer, who has arabic, french, and english songs.
Her band is called Ishtar Alabina.

Guys we all know Fairuz would not authorize her vocals to be used in anyway, and I don't think Danjo nor High Contrast have that kind of money to afford paying to licence the rights.
On another note, even if Ishtar did the vocals, first of all I don't think Fairuz will accept that, second of all it will be still copyright infringement if he did not get the permission to use the lyrics.

In any case I sure hope this track was approved by Fairuz, it is very nice to see something like this in electronic music!
