t’s not often that you get your hands on a tune that comes with a ringing endorsement from the worlds Number 1 DJ, Armin van Buuren, after being voted tune of the week on A State of Trance 326, and then voted future favourite on 327!
The original was produced by the somehow still 'fresh' producers: Mat Lock and Luke Warner. It’s a decent enough track, starts well, thumping kick, clean bass and decent percussion is all accounted for. But the riff is only ok, the track in general has very little in the way of uplift, and it lacks much depth and ambience of more experienced producers.
On the other hand, the star here is the Daniel Kandi Cure mix, or, quite simply, the one Armin has been caining!! Starting quickly, a moving, distorted bass gets things off to a great start while the main synth slowly filters in. It is almost unrecognisable from the original, pretty much a total overhaul has been done here, but boy does it sound good.
Subtle pads lead to a Piano with plenty of echo in the breakdown, which begins the process of filtering in the main riff, which then comes cascading down to an almighty crescendo and then followed by of the best drops I’ve heard all year.
Mountains of energy and a definite floor filler, one of the best trance tunes of the year for me, no question!
