This is one bad-arse release.
It's not only Onyx' first album, but it's also packed up with exquisite beauty
that you simply don't get anywhere else around.
Yanniv Goldfarb's musical background extends back to his Rock/Metal band
days as a teenager up until starting DJing at the age of 18. He ventured into
production in 2001 and after a relentlessly busy 15 years in music between
Japan and Israel, Yanniv throws out his debute album that sums up his career
progress so far and sheds a light on what this producer can create in a
jammed studio.
Groove On is a full-on psy album that features notoriously phat basslines with
a hint of catchy melodies in most of the tunes. Most of album material pass
the average mark with some stepping up beyond expectation of superb
quality. The likes of Step by Step, the melodically capturing Atlantis,
Groove On, and Waterfield are pure bliss that won't hold anyone still.
