Vercetti ~ In Control [Original Mix]
In Control starts off with some funky percussion, and a minute later is added a powerful beat with a jumpy bassline. Simple buildup up til the 4:10 mark, where, you guessed it, the breakdown is bestowed upon us. Deep emotional pads, echoing sounds of percussion, a few electro keys here and there, a slight buildup of the beat, and the track is off with a return of the good beat & jumpy bassline. Great dreamy stuff from Lange, nothing too special but it sure is quality.

Skimmer's beginning features some percussion as well, but luckily they're not too dominant as to make the track a jungle fiesta... Sweet beeping sounds from the early start, and it pretty much stays the same. 3:45 introduces some simple yet catchy keys. A minute later, these keys evolve into more energetic and emotional ones. Lange's trademarked simplicity is what represents this track. Fans of him will surely love it (and I mean you Dreamboy

What I like about Lange is that he still represents the old simple Trance sound. Some may consider that as his weakpoint, I consider it as his strongpoint. Trance has evolved and is still evolving: that is a fact, a very positive one too. But it's always good to have an artist that keeps reminding us of how Trance sounded like in the old days, an artist constantly proving that using the old Trance sound in a modern way is indeed effective. Long Live Lange!
