Few are the tracks that manage to hold a tight position between melodic and progressive by retaining a progressive structure while having rush of sweet melodies turning it melodic in content. Tracks that producers such as Menno De Jong, Mark Otten, 8th Wonder, and Super8 who's ingracing us with a new production that undoubtfully holds the high standard of this subgenre.
Get Off, the track in review, starts off with a subtle bassline progressively adding effects and instruments while introducing a small hook that repeats itself until the breakdown when we get to meet the main melody, a beautiful flow of warm emotions struck you while listening to the sound of sweet synth as the beat kicks back in while all elements combine together as the track heads towards the end stripping gradually of its elements to be left with the same prog bassline that started this track off..
on the other side of the vinyl, Gabriel Batz gets on the remix delivering a more dry and progressive interpretation of this track. Personally i find it hard to top the original mix and respectively found the remix to be a bit stripped of many amazing elements and warm melodies though it might be appreciated by prog heads..
