Delerium ~ Silence [Above & Beyond Remix]
The long-awaited remix has finally reached the hands of your reviewer! It is not yet officially released on vinyl, but it is featured on the new album "The Best Of Delerium" (and I honestly couldn't wait much longer to review it :P) which is where yours truly got it from. Sarah McLachlan's Silence is to many trancers the greatest vocal trancer of all time - need I remind you of Airscape's and Tiesto's remix? Now it has been grasped by the mighty Above & Beyond for a touch of their own on this gem. Starts off with a basic yet solid beat, until slightly less than two minutes later the angelic voice of Sarah comes in, followed by some very sweet piano notes. By now I cannot help it but to go back in my memory to LaGuava... what a night that was! The breakdown arrives without prior warning; not to our disappointment of course! The epic vocals, those sweet piano keys, and a warm pad transporting you to euphoria, until the beat finally drops in and things only get better! Nothing but the usual Above & Beyond quality Trance that they have gotten us used to. The second breakdown features the second set of vocals - as divine as Sarah can get. Breathtaking, no words can describe the ecstatic feeling this track induces. Definetly one of the best vocal releases this year. Above & Beyond: respect.
