Alexey Selin ~ White Crystal

After remixing one of the greatest Productions “Perfect Destiny”, Alexey Selin appears again on a different side , by being a Producer and not a remixer of Adam Nickey’s latest production , by combining his skills as a remixer and a producer, therefore dropping us a beautiful release : “White Crystal”.

The release includes two main mixes : The Original Mix and the D-Air Remix , in addition to the Update Project Ambient Mix. Starting with the Original Mix which is the most highlighted in the vinyl by it’s fast beats - being hard when reaching the brisk bassline and adding more heavy percussions , then turning out to be classy when reaching a beautiful breakdown packed with enough good trancey elements and hitting you straight with a wicked bassline , always containing the exact melodies that any Uplifting Head (and also Tech Trance fans) wouldn’t find in any simple release ! The Original Mix is indeed very unique , original by merging Hard beats with smooth ones during the dreamy breakdown .Energetic and Killing at the first Half of the length , Melodic and Emotional during its breakdown : a track not be found everyday , a tiring yet chilling tune .. A Must to listen to.

Listening to D-Air Remix can swiftly make you think of the Original Mix , hence nothing much to add considering the Beats and percussions (Of course lower percussions were quite noticeable in the remix) which were on a constant level in this remix. What embellished D-Air’s Remix and made a slight difference between it and the A-Side , that more particular Synthesizers were added to the beautiful melodies , turning the trancey atmosphere even more melodic . The D-Air Remix is pretty nice , original by being more energizing than the original , cutting a little part from the main breakdown , however always keeping it’s main beauty.
I’d prefer the Original Mix over D-Air Remix , but have faith in me and give both at least a short listen.

Depriving beats by adding the Update Project Ambient Remix wasn’t bad at all ! It actually added a huge melodic flavor to the B-side , and made it good looking and really nice to sit at the morning and listen to its fantastic sounds and effects :Indeed a very rhythmic remix , by using guitar riffs which can lead our heads into a dreamy atmosphere packed with some chillout elements , extremely relaxing and perfectly combined ! Harmonic I must say and Not a “dancefloor” tune of course , but one of my favorite in this vinyl ! I’d prefer this way far over the D-Air Remix.

This is a real good release , already got support from different famous Artists , and also being a Tune Of The Week on Armin Van Buuren’s weekly show A State Of Trance . Already grabbed a huge number of listeners , hence I (personally speaking) am not able to choose one single favorite tune (Mix or Remix) , and reason behind is that each tune has its own beautiful style. Eagerly looking forward for more of Alexey Selin’s Work , either by remixing or Producing again as long as he keeps on delivering us quality music : emotional and chillout moments.
