Original Mix - I dont know if any of you have ever checked out a DJ set of his or not, but this guy gives his work soul. Needless to say, he didn't omit that from his production for this track either! Solid kicks & claps ... sublime yet very mellow bassline. Breakdown kicks in about in the 3 min mark. This when the magic starts or should I say ... spreads. One of THE most beautiful melodies I've heard in an uplifting tune so far. Contains a little breakbeat section in the breakdown as well and then continues with the melody. Although this happens to be one of the better mixes, it isn't the best mix on this release, though without it ... we wouldn't have the others now would we?
Marcos Euphonic Remix - The remix that made me want to get this release in the first place. Already hammered by "Above & Beyond" and myself. It starts off with a really catchy alternate beeping melody. Pads are brought in early too, giving it a fuller atmosphere. Everything builds up pretty quickly ... before even reaching the 3 min mark and it doesn't stop there until the breakdown. Again ... one of the most beautiful melodies ever created ... along with the euphonic sound makes this breakdown a 'tune-stuck-in-your-mind'. A tune ... banging till the end.
Aled Mann pres Solace Remix - Funkish uplifter that could pass for progressive anyone? Very different take to the original and other mixes. Probably why it was included in the package. A certain 'pluck' instrument used throughout the track, with random male vocal samples, which to me sounds like "traitor" (correct me if I'm wrong). In the breakdown, you could hear a slight similarity of the original melody but again, as I said ... a completely different take. Not the most solid mixes, but will definately be a liking to one's ears.
Frase Remix - His name has been popping around everywhere like corn in a pop-corn machine. One thing I really liked about this track was its 'here-take-it-all-in-you-face' production. Along with the Anjuna-style bassline and barely hitting the 2nd minute mark, he introduces the melody in a full pad form to listen to. Then comes the first breakdown ... and once again, the melody is there ... in your face. BEAUTIFUL! The bassline stands out a lot, giving it a certain groove that the other mixes didn't have. Then comes the second breakdown ... giving you, when on a dancefloor, a stop-and-listen feeling. Definately a solid mix .[/font]
Definately a great release worth buying! Waiting for Instant Music's next release . Available in certain digital shops (ie: www.audiojelly.com) or send your request to: shop@instant-music.co.uk and you will be guided from there.
