The nineth release on Mike Shiver's brilliant label is by himself this time and is entitled Water Ripples.
The original mix is a laid-back chilled-out mellow trancer that ranges between Progressive Trance and Uplifting Trance, but more inclined towards the former. A great track to listen to while cruising along the beach or on a Sunday afternoon... beautiful.
Mike Shiver's very own Catching Sun Mix is a more uplifting interpretation that scores high, way up high on my rating scale! One of the finest uplifters of the month actually!
Under Sun remix is all about that bassline in the buildup. Then again, no, for the breakdown isn't too shabby either, playing the melody in a sharp synth, guitar chords, atmospheric strings, until an unusual dreamy melody is introduced and you just go "what the?", but right before you get to finish structuring your question, the beat drops back with that bassline and you get too busy dancing, dancing your ass off.
