As anticipated, the ATB remix of what is (arguably) a strong candidate for "track of the year" gets its own release, paired with the club mix of the original.
Mr Sam's precious offering features sweet vocal work from the angelic Hawkshaw wrapped in a solid bassline, an equally solid beat, and a guitarish melody, the sum of it all resulting in a very decent vocal trancer, something quite rare nowadays.
Trance legend ATB offers his remixing services, and you know that can't go bad. His unmatched experienced in production can be shown in the way he warps the vocals around, notably during the buildup to slide them in the breakdown. The melody is a bit retro, which is not something I'm particularly complaining about as this what I expect from someone like ATB while if I want cutting edge sounds I would just go to the scene's current rising producers. Some fair amount of acid sounds as well, looks like someone dug out and blew the dust off his Roland TB-303!
So let's put things into perspective: you've got Sam's modern sound, Andre's classic touch, and Kirsty's celestial voice... Now you tell me whether this release is worth a buy or not.
