Swiss DJ/Producer Angelo Bot aka Solid Slide, will be appearing for the second time on Rhythm Nation this Friday June 16th.
After his breathtaking set last year, Angelo would be definitely one of the DJ's whom I'm proud to present twice or more on the show..

Here's a bit more about Solid Slide:

In July 2003 a dream came true. Angelo got signed by the label he intensively followed for years, Bonzai! "Burning Flame", the first Solid Slide single on Bonzai's "Fourty 5” imprint, was released in May 2004. It was supported by well-known DJs all around the globe. One of todays most innovative DJs, John '00' Fleming, praised it on his website.

In 2004, Angelo was involved in the establishment of the record company Offshore Music, another project with his mate Andy Prinz. In the same period, the two swiss guys also launched a monthly radioshow on Digitally Imported Radio called „World in Motion“. The show was immediately a crowd puller and grew up to one of the most successful shows on di.fm. Broadcasted every 4th Tuesday every month, WIM has an average of 5000-6000 listeners.

In the same period, Angelo started a new project called "Tradewind”. The first production, "Approach the End", was played twice by Judge Jules in his weekly radioshow on worlds leading electronic radio station BBC Radio 1 (approximate 1,5 Million listeners!). His comment about the track: "This will be firing up the soundsystems at my gigs on Thu-Fri-Sat and Sun.".

In the following months, Angelo was busy with producing and remixing tracks. During a trip to Belgium in September 2004, he met the Dutch producer Vincent Kriek (known under his „DJ Vincenzo“ guise on Tiësto's Blackhole Recordings label). They started to produce a project together, only connected through the internet. “Einsamkeit” is a deep track with a nightmarish atmosphere.

The second single on Bonzai, “Belo Horizonte”, was released in November 2005. This time, the DJ Support was simply massive! Worlds number one DJ Tiësto played it at his exclusive solo gig at the Disneyland Resort Paris. Furthermore, it got supported by the likes of Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, Yves Deruyter (who putted it in his charts of the year 2005), Graham Gold and Menno de Jong, just to name a few!

In August 2005, Solid Slide played on the Offshore Music / Tilllate truck alongside Yves Deruyter, Graham Gold, Misja Helsloot and more at the massive Street Parade in Zurich. DJing surrounded by 1'000'000 people was definitely an amazing experience. Other gigs brought him to Slovakia and the Czech Republic aswell as his native country Switzerland.

Also in 2005, Solid Slide made a deal with one of Switzerlands most famous Airlines, Belair. About 400'000 passengers are able to enjoy „Solid Slide in the mix“ during the flights to their well deserved holidays.

After various remixes for tasty tracks such as the legendary Jones & Stephenson „The First Rebirth“ and York's latest single „Mercury Rising“, Angelo is ready to walk forward on his way. In May 2006 Angelo launched his second radioshow called „Direction East“, this time on a fresh radio station from Hungary, trancetream.fm.
