well... looks like i'll go 1st...
1- Track selection: I won't focus alot on that point since it's not my type
of music so I can't really if it was pretty good or not. I didn't listen to all
the tunes in full: I was fasting forward to the interesting parts and
transitions, but I'd say you still managed to include very good tunes like:
Mr Horowitz
Come to Me
Blend Forty-3
I also have to point out that this mix introduced me to a 1st listen to
Zocalo that I found absolutly terrible. With all due respect to
everybody's taste, but it's simply catastrophic: I couldn't find a single
bloody interesting element in the whole tune. I have to stress on the
diversity of the two CDs: the 1st kicks off with break-beats and smoothly
blends into house while the second picks up with Progressive Trance. I
loved the intro (Phantoms) and the outro (Never). I found them perfectly
suitable for the album and just in their right places.
2- The transition was simply dustless. Excellent, no shreds of any sort of
flaw so I won't stay at this point any longer. Very good job.
3- The mashup is great! I couldn't actually find out when the Batz' tune
blended with Niklas' Blue Circles... it was brilliant how you slowly slid Niklas'
at the back of the Batz. I managed to realize that you used the basslines
from Batz' tune and the melodies from Niklas' as a background. Then
towards the end you kicked Batz back in for the transition with Daylight
and that was very good!
Overall, a very neat work and I advise you all to get it! Good job Bxtreme,
keep it up!
If your trance was a pretty blonde ballerina; then what I listen to is a peed-off bulky bouncer pounding the living shit out of your ballerina.
