Messi, Coppa America, Maradona!

Time and Time again Messi keeps on proving that even a Steven Gerrard can arguably have a much greater influence on single handedly carrying a team.
is it too much of a task to carry a team that has the likes of Milito, Aguero and Higuian on the BENCH?
Was the argentina team of 86 even a fraction as good as the current one? I dare even the most enthusiast to name 5 players on that squad... Yes both teams and nearly every argentine team ever was found wanting defensively and GK wise... but come on... one can argue that Zanetti and Mascherano alone, who are both defensive players are worth more than the whole squad of Argentina bar Maradona in 86..
so when will we hear the end of Messi being a probable prospect the next Maradona being refuted by "so called"
football critics or even worse surpassing Maradona by football lunes, who seem to have a footballing history memory span of a bees lifespan.
Messi is the best player in the world no doubt, and quite likely the best player of his generation... However, Maradona and subsequently Zidane are skies above him in the historical greats order, without a shadow of doubt!
i'm not a fan of Santa/God or other mythical entities.. but if footie had a GOD his name would be Diego Armando Maradona!
