If Australia was a nightmare for Ferrari, Malaysia was a dream. Kimi Raikkonen toyed initially with polesitting team mate Felipe Massa, took the lead after their first pit stops, and sauntered into the distance to a victory that puts him back into contention for a second world title.

The result leaves Hamilton still leading the world championship for drivers with 14 points, ahead of Raikkonen and Heidfeld on 11 apiece. In the constructors’ chase, McLaren lead with 24, ahead of BMW Sauber on 19 and Ferrari on 11.

Respect to two very underrated drivers: Robert Kubica and Jarno Trulli, the first one for getting a highly regarded podium, and the second for fitting a Toyota between two McLaren in both, Qualification and race.
I’m surprised to see that the RedBull Renaults did better than the Renault team itself :mrgreen:

Finally Kubica got what he has been waiting for! Last time he was on the podium was at Monza (Italy) in 2006 (3rd place then). You'll see guys :wink:

one day he will finish the season a champion!

Apart from Trulli and Weber (who sort of battled it out with Hamilton & Alonso)
it was one piece of a boring race. Nobody overtook anyone except for
Hamilton over a few cars in the 1st lap.

Really boring and eventless.
