Mohammad-Khattam (AKA Apollo) Is the Official Lebanese Deep Solo Tri-Mix Diving Record holder on 18/11/2005 He Plunged To 188MSW.
And On 9/12/2006 he plunged to the Staggering depth of 220msw.
Apollo is the first diver in the world to try the AB2 algorithm on him self for deep diving decompression.
The total dive time was 266min.

Middle East Deep solo Diving Tri-Mix Record 220 m in Open Cercuit

This moment took 9 months from hard aggressive training and preparations to explore at 220m depth and surface with the Lebanese flag safely.
The dream team as I named for the discipline and well organization for such huge number of divers, photographers, assistants and technicians were the number exceeded 80 person involved in this event some of them started the preparation early as 2a.m for me I started the last minute check from 7a.m-the wearied thing is that I did not felt the stomach feeling before entering water and the doctors checked my pulse and was 55beat/minute.
The rig I used consist of twin 13 litre tanks with another 5 litre tank of air needed to inflate my OTTER dry suit and the OMS double wings.
I have reduced the equipment to a minimum in order to reduce the risk of an error or confusion at the bottom. For That I only used two 80cft side mounted tanks and one 40cft as a travel mix.
At 10:46AM, I started my descend with equipment made up of the 6 tanks, I stop at 6 meters for a final verification. Everything is fine. I turned on my VR3 and purge my wing and slinked into depth.
At -81 meter, I suspend my tank filled with travel mix, and switched to the bottom mix.
As I get deeper I felt that the visibility will get worse and for me it is a good sign because I am very sensitive against good visibility.
I continued fastening my descent speed until I passed the 180m and this is the second time I pass this depth - so far no sign for HPNS.
@ 200m I started to inflate my BCD and parked the VR3 computer @220m then located the flag I checked the depth on the line, it was deep enough for today and started my ascent.
The deeper stops came and went without drama as in the 188m record last year.
At 165m I have abandon my 11-litre travel-mix and start to breathe and locate another 80cft mix. I am tying the tank to the cord, but I do too many things at the same time, this was the most difficult moment.
I meet the deep support divers @90m and they send a sign to surface say I did it and I am fine.
The ascent continues, but more slowly and I still have to pass the medical slate and later the neurological exam.
During the stops, I ate Mars bars and Banana pieces, and lot of medicines, floods and foods contain Vitamins E, A, C as well 650mg Aspirin 120min before the Decompression Run Time end.
Tables were ‘cut’ for this special dive using Deco Check Optimizer / Deco Check Analyzer software and the assistant of Mark Ellyat despite a bottom time of few minutes to total dive time would be 4:20.
The dive incorporated ten different trimix blends and although a use of large amounts of helium at all stages of the dive is somewhat experimental in dives to date and made the decompression ‘cleaner’, cut back on CO2 problems and increased the ease of breathing. No switches back to trimix . Mark Believe that having no “p02 breaks” (better term for air breaks).
Experience or stupidity may get you there...only inspired training will get you back!

2- The percentage to be one of those divers is:
0.000000276% !!!!!!
3- The percentage for a person to enter the 200M club is:
1/361.112.000
Or more simply one person from 361.112.000 enter this club!!!!!!
4-The percentage to do a dive deeper than 200M with an experience of 350 documented dive =0%!!! For this only
Mohammad is the only diver in the world who have reached the depth of 220MSW and have only 350 documented dive on his log book
5-Mohammad is the only Arabic diver to pass the 200MSW
6- After we deliver the proofs about this dive to the organization of scuba records, Mohammad-Khattam will become the number 12 in the world of scuba diving, not to mention that the distance between Mohammad and the diver number 11 is only 4.5 MSW

Congratulations to Mohammad-Khattam from Lebanon. Mohammad dived today to 220m and returned bends free as expected J
Mohammad becomes the deepest Middle-East diver with his epic descent down the AUB wall in Beirut. The diveplan was calculated using Decochek Optimizer and used as created with just the default settings. Mohammad will write a report soon enough and I will post here with some nice photos and maybe even some video.
After some practise dives to build faith in the program (down to 134m - Mohammad's previous dives were to 188m) the dive plan was built in just 15mins using the intuitive interface of Decochek.
This is more good news for the AB2 algorithm used in Decochek and more data for the ever improving understanding of deep deco science.
