Well after a beautiful game which happened to be world cup final repeat, France made sure to avenge that loss by winning against Italy 3-1. Govou scored 2 goals and Thierry Henry 1 for France, while Gilardino scored Italy's goal in a game with around 30 fouls (and a yellow card for an italian dive). France wus better and Italy's defence made many mistakes...
Wold Cup champions Italy have started the Euro 2008 qualifications very unconvicingly after a 1-1 draw with Lithuania last week. Italy still has to play against Ukraine and Scotland..
In a game also played tonight, Germany won 13-0 against San Marino after last week's 1-0 win against Northern Ireland..

Also today, Marco Materrazi finally spoke to a magazine abt the WC final incident. According to him, after he pulled on Zidane's shirt, Zidane told him "if u want it so much i'll give it to u at the end of the game"
Materazzi said "I prefer to take ur sister"... the headbutt...

the final was totally fair and italy deserved to get the world cup...
