He keeps claiming that the stamp on Van Persie wasn't intentional. It doesn't take more than a pair of eyes to realise that it was.

He's a class player; I'll never take that away from him. But he showed a severe lack of sportsmanship and respect against his former teammates & Arsenal who, up until his summer switch, was on excellent terms with.

I'm really baffled with his behaviour. I'd expect this from the likes of Drogba (particularly based on his dramatic reaction in last year's loss to Barcelona, which I can appreciate the reasons behind it nonetheless) or Tevez (when he scores against United) but Adebayor? Shocker for me...

Anyway... Man City were deserved winners. Arsenal were flaky and extremely distant from their usual level of performance.

Good thing Man City bought a new pair of CBs, or else it would have been a goal fest with Dunne and whoever would partner him. I hate to admit it, but City are legitimate top four contenders. And Adebayor is one of the trashiest and money-hungry players who ever put on the Gunners jersey, but then again with a better pay roll structure maybe, just maybe, Arsenal would have been able to keep some of the essential players they lost in the last few years. Ah well, Forza Bianconeri.

You're right, I haven't been watching much football lately. I've lost a huge part of my interest in it with all the drama, diving, and fiasco that comes with every match.
To also tell you the truth I haven't watched a full football match in years.. lol.. (Mainly thanks to Sky Sports buying all the telly rights for the league, and I don't really like football enough to spend that much money on it )

I do however watch highlights, analysis, and read daily papers. While this might not be concrete ground to stand on when giving out an opinion about what's going on, the Adebayor incident was a common sense opinion more than anything else.

Adebayor is going around claiming it was "emotions running high" and "in the heat of the moment" and crap like that. He was the one fueling the Arsenal fans' anger for weeks now, coming out every week with a statement on how he wants to prove them wrong, how they aren't good fans, bla bla bla... You come out with that bullsh*t and expect to get away without abuse? How can you get angry if someone abuses when you're the reason they are angry at you!? I didn't see Kolo Toure coming up with "My old team are shite" statements, and got treated fairly. And that stamp on Van Persie certainly didn't help. What a cunt. A 5-game ban will do him and those city assfaces justice.

Well to be fully honest, the Arsenal crowd never cut anyone much slack lol. But unlike Adebayor, those who preceded him were smart enough to keep it for themselves instead of arousing the masses. Plus I'm sure it's not the performances that got the fans all giggly, it's more about how Ade behaved after his 1st successful season where he compared himself to Henry and asked to be paid as much as him and also threatened to leave the team, I mean if I were an Arsenal fan that would have annoyed the crap out of me, and if I were in the stadium that day I would have booed the guy and called a drunken fat-ass. Anywho, the 3-game ban will do him good, and I expect a draw this week-end, sorry Bronko, I don't want to jinx your bet
